About Me
John J. Byrne LCSW, JD, Clinical
Psychotherapist and Founder.
John earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University in 2009. As a licensed psychotherapist in Delaware, he brings 15 years of experience in helping individuals navigate mental health challenges.
Throughout his career, John has served as both a clinician and a clinical team leader at some of the most reputable mental healthcare organizations in the country. However, his background extends beyond traditional psychotherapy. He is also a former Division I athlete, a lawyer, a coach, and a club national champion. These diverse experiences give him a unique perspective on human behavior and the complexities of balancing professional and personal life.
John’s ability to understand these challenges allows him to connect deeply with his clients—whether they are professionals managing stress or individuals facing personal obstacles.
John founded Lewes Mental Health with the vision of offering an accessible approach to virtual therapy throughout the entirety of Delaware. At Lewes Mental Health, we are committed to providing consistent, professional support that helps clients build the foundation for a mentally healthy lifestyle.
Outside of work, John enjoys traveling, running, boxing, and spending time with his dog.
